Micro-investing accounts grew by 845k from 1.2M* to over 2.05M during the last year.
We have seen 6 new entrants into the micro-investing sector in FY22, increasing the total market participants being considered in this year’s report to 14.
FY22 was a year of two halves for Australian equity markets with the first six months remaining broadly stable before falling 10% in the second half of the year. Throughout the year, micro-investing providers continued to add accountholders with 360,000 new accounts in the first six months and 485,000 new accounts in the second six months.
